SRM Criterium April 2005

The first crit of the year at Les Quennevais.  Three got away early on and a group of  nine chased, distancing themselves from the main bunch of twenty riders.  In the end the nine-man chasing group, of which I was one, rode at an average speed of 23.44 mph.  The race was 12 miles long and for me the average cadence was 94 rpm, my average power was 219 watts and my average heart rate was 199 bpm; I finished fifth but was later demoted to the back of the group, twelfth, for over-assertive sprinting!.
